This is how to celebrate “The Avengers” in North Florida on Sunday night: The film will be screened in front of an estimated 75,000 people at the Sun Ray Cinema, an outdoor theater that opened in the historic downtown park last month.

It will be followed by a midnight screening of “The Good Dinosaur,” an animated film about a dinosaur who travels back in time to find a human, which is also being shown at the theater.

Actors from “The BFG” and “Frozen” will perform in the outdoor theater on Sunday, followed by “The Martian,” a sci-fi film about astronaut Alexander Mirsadi, who is exploring Mars in 2020.

Other local film shows include the Broadway show “The Paddle” and the Miami-based musical “Catch Me If You Can.”

“The Avengers,” directed by Chris Evans, stars Chris Hemsworth as Captain America, Chris Evans’ son, and Chris Hemingway as the character Black Widow.

The film follows the rise of the super-powered Avengers in a post-apocalyptic world and is expected to make $250 million at the box office.

The movie also stars Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Anthony Mackie, Don Cheadle, Mark Ruffalo, and Jeff Bridges.

It is the second installment in the “Avengers” franchise after “Amerika,” which is directed by Joe and Anthony Russo and stars Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans.

“Avenging” stars Jeremy Renee and James Spader as the main characters of the “Iron Man” series of films, who are recruited by Baron Zemo to defeat the villainous Mandarin and his army of robots.
