AUSTRALIA’S biggest and most prestigious cinemas are closing in on a $40 million film deal for a film set to hit theaters next year.

It is understood the film will feature a major character and is being considered by Fox and Sony.
Sources said the film was being eyed by Fox but it is understood that Fox would want to secure a much bigger payday from the rights holder to produce the film.
The source said the deal was being worked on by Fox, Sony and MGM.
“It will be the most expensive film to date,” the source said.
“This is the biggest movie ever made and it’s the biggest thing in Australian history.”
