The Boston Bruins are reportedly set to add former N,Y.R. Ranger Martin Broddeur from the American Hockey League’s New York Islanders.
The New York Post reports that the Bruins have agreed to terms on a two-year contract with Brodseth, the second-overall pick in the 2012 NHL Draft.
Brodsethi was originally selected by the New York Rangers in the second round (62nd overall) of the 2012 draft, and signed a two year contract with the Rangers as a free agent following the season.
Brod seth signed a one-year, two-way contract with Brooklyn in June.
Boston’s next season begins in March 2018.
The 26-year-old BrodSeth has appeared in nine games with the Islanders this season, going scoreless in two.
He has four goals and four assists for six points.
Brode seth, who was born in Norway, is also the son of former Rangers goalie Anders Bjorkstrand.
The former fourth-round pick has been skating with the Providence Bruins of the AHL this season.
