A big-budget adaptation of the American folk tale, “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo,” has won the Best Film category at the Cannes Film Festival, marking the first time that an Asian-American director won the prestigious accolade.

The film, which is based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by Margaret Atwood, stars Scarlett Johansson, Emma Stone, Tilda Swinton and Eddie Redmayne as a trio of misfits and their “tribe” who embark on a quest for the mythical “Girl with the Dragons Tattoo.”

The film has been a long time coming for director Guillermo del Toro.

He first worked on the script in the late 1990s for the horror movie “Hellraiser,” but it never saw the light of day.

It was finally adapted into a live-action feature film in 2006 for Disney, and Del Toro had been in talks with Disney about a follow-up project since that time.

After the success of the “Hellbound” film, Del Toro became involved with the “The Legend of Tarzan,” starring Eddie Redgrave, and “Pompeii,” starring Emma Stone.

In 2017, he wrote and directed “Tron: Legacy,” a film that also starred Stone and Redgrave.

In 2018, he was announced to direct the “Girl on the Track,” which is set to open in theaters May 23, 2019.

The film is directed by J.M. DeMatteis, a former Disney executive who has also written and directed the animated “A Nightmare on Elm Street” and the musical “Cinderella.”

Johansson plays the role of the three misfits in “The Princess and the Frog,” the first film to be produced by the Disney/Pixar production company.

Stone plays the titular character, who has been missing for decades.

Stone also plays the lead character, an older woman whose son, Trudy, has been traveling with her.

The trio’s journey begins with the discovery of a secret treasure, which the trio are unable to find.

However, the princess and her friends eventually discover the treasure, and decide to head off to the mythical land to retrieve it.

The story follows the trio as they attempt to complete their quest, and the film follows their adventures, including one in which Trudie and Trudys search for a hidden treasure to retrieve the Dragon’s Claw, a mystical item that is believed to be guarded by a powerful spirit.

The three members of the group are led by their mother, Princess Maud, played by Emma Stone (who was also cast in the “Catching Fire” spinoff “Lucky”).

The film also follows the adventures of a man called Dr. John (Jason Isaacs), played by Jack Huston.

The five-part series will be released on Disney XD, the streaming service that also airs “The Jungle Book” and “DuckTales,” and will be available on Netflix.
