Moviegoers at the Sydney Film Festival are hoping the movie The BFG will make its way to Australia soon.

The film is a dark and brooding tale of an orphaned American boy (Kendrick Lamar) who gets involved with a gang of street-gangsters.

But the film has been a hit in the US and will make the jump to Australian cinemas this week.

Moviegoers are hoping that The Bfg will make it to Australia.

Photo: Facebook Mr Lamar said the film’s story was one of the most moving he’d seen in a long time.

“I was like, ‘I can’t believe this movie is here, it’s so emotional, it really brings you to tears, it makes you feel alive, it was a really great story.'”

“I felt like I was in the movie,” he said.

“It made me feel like I really was in it.”

When it came to a conversation with my wife, she was like ‘Oh my God, it is amazing, I just want to get a picture with you’.

“The BFG has had a cult following since its release in the UK in 2013.

The BFF crew, played by Kendrick Lamar and Dwayne Johnson, play a pair of friends that go undercover to help the disadvantaged in their communities.

It’s the first time the film will be shown in Australia.”

We had to make a choice,” Mr Lamar explained.”

Because I think it’s just a better option than not showing it in the States at all.
